O&H Danish Bakery needed a way to integrate its' Web Store Application with the Order Entry system that is native to the IBM AS/400. Previously, Internet orders were printed from the Web Store and manually entered into the Order Entry system. As acceptance of the Web Store continued to grow, this manual process became labor intensive.
O&H contracted with R.I.C. to move the Web Store off of their ISP's server and onto the IBM AS/400. Using the HTTP server of the AS/400, the Web Store was integrated directly to the files of the Legacy Order Entry system - no more manual order entry! Additionally, only one database now needs to be maintained - on the AS/400!
